How to Feed a Hyperactive Child?

How to feed a hyperactive child?
Is your child running on the ceiling or standing on their ears? Not sure what to feed the fidget to calm both him and yourself? It turns out that there are foods that simply need to be included in the diet of a hyperactive child!

Children will be banned from dining
One of the most common behavior problems in children today is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Most often, in the absence of serious pathologies, hyperactivity goes away by the age of 6-7 years, but attention deficit is not so easy to cope with, it can persist until adulthood. Such children are too active, it is difficult for them to concentrate on the lesson and during homework, they are often distracted.

Almost 50 years ago, in 1973, American pediatrician Benjamin Feingold discovered that certain artificial food colors, flavors, and other additives in food can increase hyperactivity in children. This is how a special diet appeared, based on the absence of substances that excite the child’s delicate nervous system: sugar, allergens and artificial components. The menu of a hyperactive child should not include sausages, sausages, chips, sweets and other harmful products. But, by adjusting the nutrition, you will help your student to cope with restlessness and absent-mindedness, which is especially important with the onset of the new school year.

Dairy products
Usually for breakfast and as snacks at school, children receive food with a large amount of carbohydrates: sandwiches, sweet breakfast cereals, a variety of buns, cookies, chocolate bars. Such fast carbohydrates instantly cause jumps in blood sugar, the child is “turned on” and simply cannot be stopped. Perhaps, if he had to run a hundred meters, such a breakfast would be useful, but still it is better to choose other products. A more even distribution of energy throughout the day is facilitated by breakfasts and snacks based on fermented milk products without dyes and preservatives: cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt (only unsweetened and without additives), kefir or fermented baked milk. By the way, the lack of such bacteria in the intestines can also affect the mood of the child.

Eggs
For the same reason, it is worth including in the diet of a hyperactive child bird eggs: chicken or quail. They are rich in nutrients necessary for full development and growth. Eggs are considered food “for the mind” because they contain a lot of choline and lecithin – substances that are needed for better brain function and protection of the child’s nervous system. If your child doesn’t like eggs, add them to other meals.

Fruits
Of course, you can’t do without carbohydrates in the diet, so you can include fruits and vegetables in the menu of a hyperactive student. It can be apples, citrus pears, but it is better to refuse bananas. The same story with starchy vegetables and root vegetables: no – potatoes, yes – carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, broccoli. Of course, not all children like such food, but mom’s trick is to cook it tasty and interesting: fry broccoli inflorescences in breadcrumbs, and make a casserole from zucchini.

Nuts
Another reliable source of quality energy is a variety of nuts: almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, hazelnuts. They contain a lot of healthy vegetable protein, fats, and the right carbohydrates. Nuts are high in zinc, which has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the central nervous system and supports the child’s performance. They are also rich in magnesium, a lack of which in the body can lead to anxiety, nervous disorders and sleep disturbances. Yes, what a child eats during the day depends on his calmness at night. But nut butter doesn’t count – it’s got too much sugar!

A fish
Also important for hyperactive babies in the diet are fats – especially omega-3 fatty acids, a valuable source of which is fish, more precisely fish oil. Omega-3 is a building block for brain cells and, accordingly, new neural connections. A deficiency can lead to decreased attention, poor memory, and lack of intelligence. Not all children like to eat fish, often a bright “fishy” smell can discourage appetite, so omega-3 capsules can help out here.

OMEGA INTELLIGENCE FOR PUPILS
• fish oil from Icelandic cod
• contains 100% of the daily value of omega-3
• for children from 7 years old

NOT A DRUG
Regular intake of the prophylactic complex “Omega Intellect for schoolchildren” will help children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder for non-drug correction of behavioral and emotional reactions. Omega acids restore the biochemical balance in the central nervous system and thereby neutralize restlessness, absent-mindedness, increased excitability, and normalize the general emotional background of the child. Also, “Omega Intelligence for Schoolchildren” will improve the skills of counting, writing and reading, the development of memory and the ability to concentrate. All this will help the student to successfully cope with tasks, become more confident in their own knowledge.
